Art Futures Research Exhibition The University Art Museum 11-26 November 2023 Thanks to the 東京藝大「I LOVE YOU」プロジェクト Grant we were able to realise our project. As part of this community, we participated in the 芸術未来研究場 (Art Futures Research) exhibition, held at the Tokyo University of the Arts University Museum. During this event, many audiences participated and we received a lot of new ideas and interpretations of our work. In our setup, we installed a carpet with soft lighting, a speaker that was playing our voices reading the notes of the book , and several copies of 「のぼる」〇. The visitors could sit comfortably and read at their own pace.

We launched のぼる〇 with tea, coffee, and snacks. ato夢 created a live soundscape inspired by the zine. Our communities came and discussed, with an introduction to the project by curators Che Kyongfa (Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo) and Osaka Koichiro (Asakusa Gallery, Kyoto University of the Arts) and reading of extracts by aliwen, Chloe, Hanna. During the closing, aliwen did a DJ set to celebrate our audience. Dig A Hole Zines is a DIY art publication store & workspace supporting independent zine makers and publishers. Located in the lively neighborhood of Koenji, Dig A Hole Zines functions as an independent zine store, gallery, workshop venue, and live music space where artists, activists, musicians, and other creatives can present their work and engage in dialogue. 「のぼる」〇 [noboru zero] is a zine about seas and mountains that explores the potential of ecology, randomness, and queer families. It is a collective project that pieces together our entangled life experiences with the environments that surround us. We invite the reader to encounter their own fragmented affective memories, through our very personal and yet mutually compelling propositions. Noboru zero consists of captured photos, diary entries, and moments indirectly linked to the shaping of our lives, accompanied by a manifesto and footnotes. The zine has two separate sections, seas, and mountains, each with a separate set of footnotes that meet in the center with the bilingual manifesto. This zine highlights the significance of diffraction, abstract imagination, and later reflection in knowledge production. The print of 「のぼる」〇 is s upported by 東京藝大「I LOVE YOU」プロジェクト download pdf
